Eatalian by Anna brings the soul of authentic Italian home cooking to New Jersey through intimate cooking classes and bespoke catering for every occasion. Founded by Anna Maria Taddei—born and raised in Rome with decades of hands-on culinary experience—Eatalian by Anna invites you to experience the tastes, stories, and warmth of Italy, one dish at a time.

After moving to the U.S. with her family in 2012, Anna quickly made her mark with La Lupa di Roma, a beloved restaurant in Monmouth County that earned multiple accolades, including Best Restaurant in Neptune City three years in a row and a place among the Top 11 Pizzerias in New Jersey. Following her retirement in 2023, Anna returned to her true passion: sharing the joy and art of home-style Italian cooking.

During my time exploring Maine, stopping at the historic The Standard Baking Co. in Portland was an absolute must. As a chef and baker who lives for sourdough and the art of fermentation, I was completely fascinated by their traditional methods and the incredible character of their breads. 🪵🥖
From their beautiful Pain au Levain to their rustic boules, you can truly taste the history, patience, and dedication in every single loaf. Of course, I couldn’t resist bringing one back to the camper to study its texture up close! 👩‍🍳
There is something so magical about how different places shape the flavor and soul of bread. It’s a constant inspiration that I can’t wait to bring back to my own kitchen and future workshops! 🎨🤍

Da bambina, quando andavo a trovare mia nonna in un piccolo paesino fuori Roma, non c’erano cornetti sofisticati. C’era la semplicità. Sotto casa c’era un forno a legna e, non appena si sentiva l’odore della pizza bianca appena sfornata, la nonna scendeva a prenderne un pezzo caldo da inzuppare nel latte/cappuccino. ☕️✨
Ieri ho sfornato questa focaccia nel forno a legna e, morso dopo morso, sono tornata esattamente lì, in quella cucina umile e piena d’amore. Perché le colazioni più buone non si comprano in pasticceria: si custodiscono nel cuore.❤️

Some scents have the power to erase time and distance. As a child, when visiting my grandmother in a small village outside Rome, breakfast wasn’t about fancy pastries. It was about beautiful simplicity. Right under her apartment, a wood-fired bakery filled the air with the aroma of freshly baked pizza bianca. Nonna would run downstairs to grab a hot piece for us to dip straight into our milk/cappuccino. ☕️✨
Yesterday, I baked this focaccia in the wood-fired oven, and with every single bite, I was right back there in her warm kitchen. The best breakfasts can’t be bought at a bakery; they are kept in our hearts.❤️
